The first day of Fall is coming up and we at the Chamber would love to get all of Hondo involved in some Fall-tastic contests we have going on this month. To celebrate the coming Fall we are hosting a Fall Photo Contest. This contest is open to everyone who lives in Hondo and the surrounding areas and gives everyone the opportunity to win a $50 gift card to a local business of their choice. (You also win bragging rights until the next contest.)
So how does participation in this photo contest work? Simply take some photos and show us what fall means to you in the area. Is it the trees losing their leaves? Maybe a photo of the leaves strewn across the yard. Is it a a warm pumpkin pie? Maybe late blooming flowers in the area. Either way, we want to see your photography skills and what you love most about Fall in the area. Rules are simple.
The Prompts are:
- Something that reminds you of autumn.
- A scarecrow.
- Something you can only find in Hondo.
- Something new to Hondo.
- Something historic.
1) Photos must be your own.
3) Limit 5 photos submissions per person.
3) Entrys should contain the following information: a) Name of the Photographer. b) Email Address.
4) Prizes: Winner(s) will receive a $50 gift card to a local business of their choice.
5) Entries will be judged on artistic expression, creativity and originality, and the quality of the image.
6) Winner(s) and runner-up photos will be displayed both on the Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce website and our Facebook Page.
7) Deadline for entries will be on September 30th.
All photos will not only be judged on artistic expression, creativity and originality, but also on quality, and their relation to the theme of "Fall." The winner of the contest will be announced on our Facebook page. Winners and runner-ups will also have their photos featured on both our website and Facebook page.
