Christmas in God's Country!

Friday, November 17th and Saturday, November 18th

Christmas in Gods Country is our annual Christmas event full of family friendly activities and shopping. Friday night boasts a Hometown Holiday with Christmas Carols, Pictures with Santa, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Food Trucks and MORE!

Come back Saturday and get that Christmas shopping checked off the list. Vendors set up booths in downtown Hondo around the courthouse square and sell artisan crafts, homemade beauty supplies, snacks and fried food, and a wide array of handmade items that make amazing Christmas gifts. With over 100 market day vendors, you are sure to find that perfect gift for everyone on your list.

Saturday evening, we host Hondo's favorite longstanding tradition, the Lighted Night Parade. Bundle up, get there early and enjoy the spectacular floats.

This event brings locals out into the town, while also bringing in 100's of people from out of town to enjoy the weekend of fun. Come join us in Downtown Hondo for this decades old tradition.

Friday, November 17th
6:00PM - 9:00PM

Come out for our Friday Night festivities. Enjoy Christmas carols by Meyer Elementary, a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, pictures with Santa, take a ride around the Old Courthouse building with a horse drawn carriage ride. We'll also have food vendors and a face painting station, a stilt walker, a snow machine so your little ones can play in the snow after they write letters to Santa & much more!

Saturday, November 18th
10:00AM - 9:00PM

This is a two day holiday event so you don't want to miss out on Saturday's activities. Our food vendors open back up in the morning around 10:00AM and we'll also have over 100 vendors selling an array of items that make for the perfect Christmas gifts. Vendors will be set up from 10:00AM - 9:00PM giving you plenty of time to grab all those Christmas gifts before your forced to go out to a mall packed with people.

At 7:00PM make sure to find yourself a comfy spot along the parade route for our Christmas Lighted Night Parade; a hometown favorite.
