Are you ready for Hunt Hondo?

How is summer already ending?!? We have been going nonstop with Red, White & Boom, moving offices, and preparing for New Teacher Luncheon and Hunt Hondo!

Red, White & Boom was a huge success! We doubled our attendance, and everyone enjoyed all of the fun activities, delicious food, and incredible fireworks display. We can't wait to celebrate with our community again next year!

We have moved locations again as we wait for our building to be ready. Gruber Law Firm has generously agreed to house us in one of their upstairs rooms. We really appreciate their support and Community Wealth Group who provided us with office space these last 3.5 months. You can visit us at 1115 17th St. (right next door to our old building).

New Teacher Luncheon will be this Friday at First Baptist Church Hondo. We will be welcoming 27 new Hondo ISD teachers and 5 new D'Hanis ISD teachers. Huge thank you to the Rotary Club for their help in putting together goody bags, the multiple community businesses that donated items for the goody bags, a sweet group of Bible study ladies that crafted our table centerpieces, FBC Hondo for the use of the Family Life Center, Seco Secret for catering, and all of our amazing sponsors: Community National Bank, CWS Travel, C & W Fuels, Broadway Bank, Hondo Anvil Herald, Hondo Public Library, Hondo National Bank, Legacy Irrigation, Lone Star Kawasaki & Ag Equipment, MainStreet Mercantile, Margaret L. Swyers Attorney at Law, Medina Electric Cooperative, Medina Healthcare System, Security State Bank, Southwest Gulf Railroad Co., Southwest Texas Junior College, and Vantage Bank. Here's to a great school year!

Hunt Hondo is almost here! We are changing up the venue, expanding our Outdoors Expo, and bringing back all of your favorites, like Parisa Pachanga!

We will be having Hunt Hondo on August 31 at the Medina County Fair Hall and park grounds. The morning will kick off with our Outrun the Gun 5k at 8 a.m., and then we will have our Camo Kids Contest at 10. Our Outdoors Expo will be inside and outside the Fair Hall from 10-4. If you have an outdoor related business and would like to be a vendor for our Outdoors Expo, be sure to sign up under our Hunt Hondo event on our website. There will be unlimited skeet shooting for a nominal fee, target shooting, and an archery contest!

Gabe Garcia will be playing an acoustic set from 12-3, and the Jeremy Richards Band will be playing that evening during our Parisa Pachanga Contest and Dove Dance from 7-11. You won't want to miss a minute of Hunt Hondo, so get signed up today! https://www.hondochamber.org/hunt-hondo-2019
