Winter has been here for a little while and we've gotten a little restless being stuck inside for so long. To inspire ourselves and hopefully the community to get up and active while still staying safe, we're excited to announce another photo scavenger hunt! This contest is open to everyone who lives in Hondo and the surrounding areas and gives everyone the opportunity to win a $50 gift card to a local business of their choice. (You also win bragging rights until the next contest.)
So how does participation in this photo contest work? Simply take some photos and show us what winter means to you in the area. Here are some prompts to get you started!
The Prompts are:
- Something that reminds you of Winter.
- A Christmas Tree
- Christmas Lights
- Festive Decorations
1) Photos must be your own.
3) Entrys should contain the following information: a) Name of the Photographer. b) Email Address.
4) Prizes: Winner(s) will receive a $50 gift card to a local business of their choice.
5) Entries will be judged on artistic expression, creativity and originality, and the quality of the image.
6) Winner(s) and runner-up photos will be displayed both on the Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce website and our Facebook Page.
7) Deadline for entries will be on December 31st.
All photos will not only be judged on artistic expression, creativity and originality, but also on quality, and their relation to the theme of "Winter." The winner of the contest will be announced on our Facebook page. Winners and runner-ups will also have their photos featured on both our website and Facebook page.
