The Chamber Celebrates 75 Years!
The Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 75 Years! Founded in 1946, 2021 marks the Diamond Anniversary for the Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce. We are planning an evening to CELEBRATE this milestone. We can't wait to host our community and honor Chamber leaders, both past and present. This unique experience is one you won't want to miss, so mark your calendars and be on the lookout for more details and information. Christmas in God's Country
Christmas In God's Country is just around the corner. Mark your calendars now for this hugely popular event that brings everyone out for a weekend of Christmas joy.
Our holiday celebration kicks off Friday, November 19. Just after dark, the Meyer Elementary choir brings the crowd around with classic carols sung in front of City Hall with Santa Claus looking on. The lighting of the Christmas tree at City Hall follows, marking the official start of the most wonderful time of the year.
Pictures with Santa and other children's events will all take place around the courthouse throughout the evening. Food trucks will stay throughout the evening to handle all your needs, from snacks to dinnertime meals.
Come back Saturday, and get all your Christmas shopping done at Market Days. Vendors from all over the state plan months ahead to be a part of our Market Days and we are thrilled to bring them back year after year. Shopping will continue throughout the day and into the evening, giving everyone a chance to get their holiday shopping complete.
Find your seat along any of the streets downtown and get ready for our legendary Lighted Night Parade. A beautiful sight to behold, this parade will surely get you in the Christmas Spirit.

New Teacher Luncheon
The Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce believes our community means developing the next generation of leaders; and teachers do just that. Join us in welcoming the newest teachers to Hondo ISD and D’Hanis ISD. Be a part of this wonderful luncheon by becoming a sponsor and join the Chamber as we welcome our new teachers. Teachers will be treated to lunch, gifts, goody bags and an introduction to local businesses.
