And We're Off!

Happy New Year! We have been working hard on scheduling a new year full of fun and opportunity. Get ready for all that is in store for 2019!

We had our Breakfast Briefing on January 22, where our Executive Director, Roxanne, gave an overview of upcoming events and new initiatives for the Chamber. Check out what's coming:

Experience 90---We will be printing 1000 guides to distribute throughout the community that list all participating eateries, boutiques, and points of interest. These businesses are all Chamber members located in Castroville, Hondo, and D'Hanis. When you visit these businesses, you get your guide stamped. After a certain number of stamps in your guide, you will be entered into a multiple gift basket drawing with fabulous prizes! Winners won't be announce until August, so you have plenty of time to visit businesses. The grand prize will be the use of Knowlton's Vista Verde Ranch--a $2500 value! Look for these guides to appear in February!

Restaurant Week---Imagine a week full of local restaurants featuring new menu items and special discounts. You won't have to imagine for long because we are making it a reality! March 17-23 is Restaurant Week! Stay tuned for Facebook videos with the chefs of all participating restaurants as they tell us what they will be cooking up for this delicious week!

Carhartts & Cocktails---It's the social event of the year as we come together to honor our top citizens and businesses. You don't want to miss this amazing night at Knowlton's Vista Verde Ranch. From 5:30-7, sample cuisine from 10 of our local restaurants: Country Mart, Cowboy's, Heavy's BBQ, Hermann Sons, Hillside Bistro, Hondough Pizza, Julianna's, Primo Processing, Seco Secret, and Silver Creek. After our brief awards ceremony, dance the night away to music to live music from Double Bogey. Get your tickets now at our online store, or come by our office!
